1. Protection of water bodies / Forests and wildlife

We will increase awareness about and protect the rivers, lakes, forests and we will, through Our Environmental Clubs, advocacy platforms, and educational campaigns adopt best Practices and behavioral change as well as assist private and public institutions in charge of the protection of the above.

We shall help to monitor individual transgressors, polluters, Invaders, commercial exploiters, institutional actions and inactions.

We will respect and promote laws and regulations regarding same.

2. Ensure Afforestation

We will plant and nurture different varieties of trees & plants, vegetable gardens in our Houses and schools.

We will encourage every Ghanaian child to plant a tree ensure its Protection.

We will raise our voice against all forms of deforestation from local, national to International level.

We shall discourage our chiefs, parents and Governments from releasing large acres of fertile lands for activities that would undermine the food security, health, dignity and livelihoods of the local community.

3. Promote of Sustainable Development

We shall vigorously campaign for the strict implementation of tree replacement for Development.

We will campaign that for every tree felled for so called developmental reasons a new one should be planted in return.

Also promote rain water harvesting, natural lighting building designs with less electricity use.

We the children of Ghana pledge to use our curiosity and talkativeness to plat a watch dog role towards ensuring sustainable environmentally friendly development.

4. Promote Energy Conservation through alternative energy sources

We will assist Government and the National Energy Foundation to fully implement the replacement of in condescend bulbs with CFLs.

We shall pressurize the private sector to invest in environmentally healthy technologies in the construction of buildings that reduces energy.

We will appoint ourselves as “Energy Managers” in our homes, schools and monitor the use of electricity.

5. Ensure Environmental Sanitation

We will incorporate the 5Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover into our daily lifestyle for a clean and better environment.

Reduce the amount of waste, what we cannot Reduce we should try to Reuse. Materials that cannot be reused should be recycled.

Recover energy from wastes within the limits of individual action and encourage industries to develop technologies to implement the same on a large scale.

We shall consume less and buy from companies that are involved in protecting the environment, and reduce the use of Plastic bags if necessity.

We will not litter in public places, We will ensure waste separation at home into dry, wet, bio degradable and Non-biodegradable & e-wastes.

We will encourage government to levy plastic manufacturers to contribute to the management of their ‘mess’.

We will ensure that waste is not wasted or disposed irresponsibly.
