1. Diminishing the practice of bearing dead bodies in rural and urban communities without cemetery, especially decomposed bodies, seriously affects our water line.

Actions:

  • Engage local government to allot specific areas for bearing of bodies,
  • Create an awareness to stop the practice of bearing bodies everywhere in the communities and
  • Sensitized the communities on the risk in bearing of bodies everywhere in the communities’ poses threat to our health.
2. Sensitizing our schools and communities on the deadly impact of rock crushing, this undermined or wears away our land, kills our fish and affects the quality of our water.

Actions:
  • Engage residence who are crushing rocks to stop the practice of rock crushing,
  • Create an awareness in the communities on the deadly practice of rock crushing and
  • Engage local government to impose a strong regulation on rock crushing and rock crushers.

3. Diminishing the use of fire for clearing of forest areas, poses serious threat to our earth bio-sphere and kills our wide species in the forest.

Actions:

  • Engage local farmers to stop the usage of fire for farm land clearing
  • Engage local farmers to create a mini pit where tress fell can be putting
  • Sensitized the communities on the risk of fire used for clearing forest.

4. Diminishing the used of sand mining from our beaches.

Actions:

  • Create an awareness on the usage of sand mining
  • Engage local residence of the communities to create a cooperative efforts to protect sand mining
  • Engage local government to create a strong regulation on sand mining.

5. Sensitizing our communities on the use of solid waste, especially the uncontrolled disposal of garbage, poses serious threat to coastline habitats.

Actions:

  • Help local government identify specific areas to dump garbage
  • Help local residence direct their garbage to specific dump site
  • Engage local government to create a strong regulation on waste management.

6. Sensitizing and disseminating to our schools and communities the impact of beach erosion that is causing shoreline recession in some cities, which have resulted in the loss of land and shorefront properties.

Actions:

  • Engage local government for a strong and proper city planning measure
  • Create awareness for a strong zoning regulation and
  • Engage local government for land and properties along the coastline be regulated.

7. Sensitizing our communities and schools on the use of shifting cultivation practice, which are causing deforestation in Liberia.

Actions:

  • Engage local farmers to reduce from vast land cultivation to a small land cultivation that may reduce deforestation
  • Create an awareness for replanting of trees that are cut down and
  • Engage local government to provide license for the cutting of tress in order to avoid the illegal cutting of forest.

8. Sensitizing and disseminating to our schools and communities on the leaking fuel storage tanks at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company, posing serious threats to our ground water.

Actions:

  • Engage the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company relocate their tanks
  • Engage the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company change the old tanks to new tanks in order to avoid leakage and
  • Sensitized and disseminate information on the poor quality of water at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company locale.

8. Sensitizing and disseminating to our schools and communities on the leaking fuel storage tanks at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company, posing serious threats to our ground water.

Actions:

  • Engage the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company relocate their tanks
  • Engage the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company change the old tanks to new tanks in order to avoid leakage and
  • Sensitized and disseminate information on the poor quality of water at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company locale.

9. Sensitizing and diminishing the production of charcoal causes serious threats to our human health and smoke inhalation.

Actions:

  • Create an awareness to reduce the production of charcoal
  • Create an awareness to stop charcoal exportation for regional and international used and
  • Engage local government to impose a strong regulation on the production of charcoal.
